In the Twilight

I thought this was the end

It would be impossible to cross this one

But, the end itself stretched into a road ahead.

I thought I had lost all faith

And nothing could be trusted again

But the belief in that nothingness kept me going.

I thought I had fallen in an abyss

And I would never see light again

But then I saw the fireflies hiding in the chasm bed.

Thus I flitted between faith and unfaith, light and darkness

And sometimes stayed in the twilight for long

But made sure that the person in the mirror never left my side.
